Terms of service
These terms govern your use of Erasefold (erasefold.atesensoftware.com), provided by Samet Ateşen, trading as Atesen Software, Sakarya, Türkiye ("we"). By using Erasefold or buying a license you accept them.
1. What Erasefold does
Erasefold is browser software for businesses that process consumer deletion lists from the California Delete Request and Opt-out Platform (DROP). It reads files you provide (DROP downloads and your own record exports), standardizes and hashes identifiers following the technical specifications CalPrivacy publishes, matches them, and builds response files, a worklist, a suppression list and an audit log. Erasefold does not connect to DROP and does not delete anything in your systems.
2. Free use and licenses
- Running the made-up sample, matching your own files and viewing the counts on screen are free.
- A license unlocks downloading the files built from your own data for 12 months from the purchase date. Broker: 1 DROP data broker ID. Group: up to 5 data broker IDs. Counsel: unlimited data broker IDs, including clients you advise or serve.
- Licenses are for use by your organisation's personnel and may not be resold, shared outside your organisation or published.
3. Payment
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Prices are shown in USD. Where VAT or sales tax applies, Paddle calculates it and shows the total before you pay. Licenses are one-time payments covering 12 months and do not renew automatically.
4. Your responsibility
Erasefold applies published technical rules to data you provide. It is not legal advice: it does not decide whether you are a data broker, which records are exempt, or how deletion must be carried out. Matching depends on the completeness and quality of the records you export. You remain responsible for deleting or opting out the records, instructing your service providers and contractors, uploading statuses to DROP, keeping records and meeting every deadline.
5. Availability and changes
We may improve, change or discontinue features. A license keeps its download access for its 12-month term, including updates for changes CalPrivacy publishes to the DROP file formats or hashing rules in that term. Files you downloaded remain yours.
6. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to Erasefold is limited to the amount you paid for the license in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including fines or penalties imposed by a regulator, or lost profit. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
7. Refunds
See the refund policy: 14-day money-back guarantee.
